Rainy saturday

November 12, 2011 by J & L

Perfect weather for a stay home saturday.  J is working again.

Not easy to catch him to work out  the wedding preparations.

Thanks to E for bringing me to a bs to figure out how the package ‘feels’ like.

The uncle was not pushy at all, but too long winded til poor E have to start grumbling about her hunger.

Hehe. Good to go with a gf who is so good in cutting things short.

I have not confirm anything til now, as i am exploring to engage a pre wed photographer.

Price seems to be an important factor as everything looks almost the same.

From my eyes, the gowns look like the same too. Jeez.

Because everything looks white.

And i jolly well cant see white.

Why no mustard yellow gowns.

Anyway, being very free today, i decided to do something very funny.

The last time i won something is during my primary school days where i won this portable mini radio from an entertainment company.

Heeheees.

3 entries only lah.

Hope i win something with my birthday month luck!

Bridal package

November 7, 2011 by J & L

This is 1 of the item on all couple’s preparation list.

J & me was once ‘held hostage’ by a taiwan based bridal shop.

We just had our heavy dinner over at kushin-bo suntec, and was approached by the guy holding quite a cute looking post card.

Before they make us sit down, we already say upfront that we have not start shopping around for the package yet, but we are considering getting married.

Hehe. You got it.

THEY NEVER LET US GO!

1. They force us to say that we like their photos.

No. I don’t like it. There is no character in the photos at all, and damn it, the album look like shit.

2. They say there is no need to shop around, the packages are all the same.

No. There is no need to explain further on why this is a false statement.

3. Look, look look. The couple beside is signing up already, what are you waiting for.

Ahem…. we don’t know the couple. Look at them for what.

4. Put a deposit of $100 & i will let give it back to you if you return tomorrow.

10 cent i also won’t deposit with you.

And tadah, they make us never want to step into a BS anymore.

Even now that we have our dates, venues all ready, J & i never wanted to shop for a BS.

I did try to research on forum, but i totally lost interest in what the information provided.

Everyone said what they got is the best.. which is correct..in a way, if not why would people even want to sign up for uh.

J just rang me up & i told him about the exciting trip to the BS tmr.

He said ok sheepishly.. and when i told him the agaration of the price, his voice went loud & like…. uhhhh.

yes la. expensive right. How come our parents time dont have such trouble.

BOO!

So i said i dont want the studio photos, i will not look at it after i took those photos. Tmr aim is to go look at what they can offer.

He kind of disagree, and said its good to take those photos?!

Ahhhhh? Men also have dream wedding is it.

Long weekend

November 6, 2011 by J & L

On a sunday feeling happy because its a ph tmr! J is working though.

Started getting quotations on wedding singer & thinks that perhaps setting out a budget first will prevent me from overspending.

I need the money for a good honeymoon!

J says that we have to delay the trip as he is not confirm on his schedule. Wowwwwwwwwww. Den how? last min again? eeeyer.

Places on my mind are:

1. Paris/Italy

2. New york

3. London

Realise i only shortlist the urban cities, because after been together for 3 ++ yrs, J & i never like staying on the same spot.

Hahaa… we dislike wasting time not exploring around & when there is no shopping, we feel like strangling ourself.

Recalling some of the stuff we did when holidaying:

1. When we were together for abt 3 mths, we went to bangkok for a short retreat on his bday. The tuk tuk driver brought us to a damn seafood restaurant which i have been cheated there before, i winked at J….. J held my hand and we both ran away. So worried that they will run after us.

2. In brisbane, i actually have the guts to hug the koala bear. Their paws are so sharp, and the first bear i hugged was screaming at me, maybe he’s quite a racist too. Haaa.

3. On 1 of J’s summer holiday, we booked a trip to taipei, planned our itinerary, turn out that the weather was freaking hot and most of the time we hid in our room buying takeaways from 7-11.

4. Bintan! J’s nightmare, as he hated taking ships abroad (occupational hazard), we were there 1 day after J extracted his wisdom tooth. Oh how he hated me when i can smile with my mouth wide open. We wondered off to ole ole & went into this dark looking shop for massage. Argh. ended up with a big bed bug bite.

5. Went to sydney thinking that the weather should stay about the same as brisbane. Ended up that it was so cold that in my mini skirt, i sat on the floor crying to go home. No shops was opened as it was xmas when we landed. J was a hero, he comforted me & brought me to buy lots of cardigans the next day. Hehee. Fell sick there, and lucky that J knows how to find cheap medicine from the supermarket. Don’t see any GPs around.

6. Hongkong is 1 of J’s wish list so we booked our trip in 3 days time and left before cny. The weather is awesome. As there was no time for research, we again.. lost our way in hk every now & then. Cant speak their language, so damn it, just got to keep losing our way in the cold wind. The morning when we woke up to return, found myself feeling super sick, down with a terrible food poison, almost could not get myself up the plane, again, my J hero had to run around the airport finding me medicine, and putting me to slp on the plane. Very thankful to him…:)

7.  Again, a last min trip, booking to phuket, J decided to propose to me there, and we came back home feeling … nothing. Hahaaa. I spoiled my own surprises.. but still, i am willing to marry him because.. no one else can be so forgiving towards me, be my travel hero, my funny boy & my life advisor. :)

J’s favorite pet question whenever we are travelling:

Him:’You are very happy with me right?’

Me: ‘Shut up.’

Yes,he is still very sweet when he stop asking irritating questions.

Booked the church.

November 1, 2011 by J & L

Finally the venue issue is over. I called up the secretary and she was very thoughtful to advise me some of the details over the phone.

So we will be holding the solemnization on 8th & customary on the 9th.
Where can i find a photographer who can help to split the package into 2 days without straining my budget? On the 9th, i think i have a big gap in between.

Is a videographer a must?

Where can i find grass look alike carpet?

Anyone try decorating the church without engaging the florist?

WAH LAU. NEED HELP. WHERE IS J?

Sunday <3

October 30, 2011 by J & L

J strays around the town & ended up at a coffeeshop near his place.

While i was happily having the dinner at cyn’s wedding, he had to eat sweet & sour pork rice.

According to him, it tastes horrible. :P

On the other hand, food at Bliss Garden Expo is good.

We have to walk pass a stranger wedding before we got to cyn’s.

Its quite strange because the reception will check you out if you are attending the correct wedding.

For the service at the restaurant, i have to comment that it was below expectation.

Drinks are not filled at all (Till my last drop), waiter give you face when you ask for something, and the server attending to our table was the classic example. He places his tray just over my head when he needs to serve muslim/vegetarian food, and drips the soft drink on my lap (luckily was covered by the napkin) and also all over my plate.

No he did not ask to change the plate.

When i look at it, i am quite worried about the banquet at M.

But still, enjoyed the dinner as i got to see long lost ex colleagues & enjoyed the montages of cyn & her hub. Sweet!

This morning, we make a trip to Holy Trinity church to enquire about the wedding procedures.

The chapel is cozy but not carpetted.

Seems like a good place because its just walking distance from our house. :)

Hello world!

Creating this blog to pen down our preparation to our wedding day.

09 December 2012

The groom: J (He prefer to remain silent)

The bride: L (me, the spokeswoman for this space)

As of today, we have already done the following:

1. Picked the date for our wedding

2. Booked our wedding dinner with M hotel

We both love travelling.

And i love the part on wedding, not him. Hee.

Proposal was done in our cozy hotel room in Phuket.

No fireworks but contented with it.

I knew the day is coming since we booked our flat. (T.T)

Today marks our 3.5 years together.

No celebration because i’m attending my friend’s dinner tonight.

J have to settle his dinner alone.  What will he eat?

To be continued….
